Brad Burton: From Manchester
Council Estate to Multi Million Pound Business
“Beneath the bluff exterior of the self-styled “fat bloke
from Manchester” is a shrewd business brain” – The Times
Brad Burton isn’t your stereotypical successful entrepreneur. Rising from humble beginnings in a Manchester council estate, Burton left school with no qualifications, spent years on benefits and dabbled in drugs. Even now he rarely wears a suit, has a shaved head and massive eagle tattoos on his forearms.
But the fact of the matter is that this convention-defying attitude is exactly what helped him build a career.
In 2005, Brad was £25,000 in personal debt and delivering pizzas to keep his start-up marketing business afloat, whilst having to deal with his wife demanding that he "go get a proper job."
He ignored her. 8 years on, he's a highly successful entrepreneur. There are 4 impressive and varied aspects to the world of Brad Burton:
1. MD of the UK’s largest joined-up business network: 4Networking. Brad is member number 1 of 4Networking, which he founded in 2006. With over 50,000 online members and running over 5,000 events across the UK each year (+ some in Australia), 4Networking has reinvented and reinvigorated business networking. 4N is making a real difference to thousands of SME businesses.See www.4networking.biz

3. Author of THREE business books and the highest rated biz book on Amazon: Get Off Your Arse has over 220+ reviews on Amazon, averaging 4.9 out of 5. The reason people love it is that it’s a biz/self-help book for people who don’t like or believe biz/self-help books. Its sequel, Get Off Your Arse Too followed by Brad’s 3rd book “Life. Business. Just got easier” signed by international publisher Capstone. See www.getoffyourarse.biz
4. In-demand biz pundit: With regular appearances on Jeremy Vine’s Radio 2 show + in print in The Times, The Guardian and various other broadsheet and business publications, Brad is sharp, incisive and funny in his observations about life and in particular the challenges of running your own business.
